The 2017 GPA Mentor Award
“A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.”
We at GPA value those that take the time to inspire others, so our annual Mentor Award recognizes a faculty advisor who provides exceptional guidance to postdoctoral scholars. Implemented in 2013 by our V.P. of University Services, Steve Johnson, the award acknowledges those mentors who have gone above and beyond, sharing their expertise, knowledge and education to train the postdocs under their charge while providing an atmosphere of inspiration, encouragement and support. The GPA Mentor Award is a monetary gift to an exemplary mentor chosen from a group of nominees representing the 135 NPA member institutions throughout the U.S.
Congratulations go to Malene Hansen, Ph.D. for receiving this year’s award during the 2017 annual NPA meeting in San Francisco, March 17 – 19.
